The Magic Storm

My husband now thinks he has 'magic' powers.
Let me tell you why!
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year, 90 plus degrees with very high humidity. Miserable!
That afternoon, we had some rain showers that turned into a torrential downpour with high winds that knocked our power out.
Not our neighbors to the right or the house across the street, mind you, but the rest of our block.

Of course, I'd been to the grocery store and planned to cook a nice dinner since both sons were off work...a.true rarity. Now I was worrying about how long the  refrigerator would keep all of the food cold...
Too dark to see the stove, so we had food from, of course, McDonalds. They didn't lose their power.

At about 10:30 pm the rest of our town lost power, including our neighbors.

It was way too hot to stay inside, so we were sitting on the porch.

Anyway, on to the 'magic'-
My hubby has his silly moments especially during boring or stressful times
At midnight we were in the still pitch black, no street lights or stop lights, when he said:
"Let there be light" and clapped twice, imitating the 'clap on, clap off' commercial.
At that very second  the lights came back on!!  No kidding!

Anyone need a magic hubby for a few days?
He does say that he can only use his 'powers' sparingly, he's afraid he will use them up!

LOL..... I could do with a million dollars, can you ask the clapper to clap me up some of that?

Now what are the chances? I hope all that power doesn't go to his head. I could really use magical powers tomorrow when I'm moving a lifetime of stuff into my cottage (finally). Do you think he could just put in some magical, powerful, positive thoughts for me. Thanx!
